About muki

During the spring break of my freshman year in 2012, I returned with my parents to their quaint countryside home. One afternoon, while strolling through the old wooden house my grandfather had built, sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the weathered timbers. In that moment, I felt a profound connection to nature as if the wood itself were whispering tales of its long life. The seed of muki, a brand dedicated to all-natural, handcrafted wooden products, was planted.

As graduation neared, I embarked on a quest in the summer of 2016 to find the finest wood. From the pristine forests of Northeast to the tropical rainforests of the South, I personally selected each log, ensuring that they were not only of the highest quality but also carried the blessings of nature. In 2017, I invited a group of passionate woodworkers to join me in a workshop surrounded by lush greenery, where we began our journey of creating muki.

Every step of the process, from cutting and sanding to assembling and finishing, adheres to ancient traditions. The sweat and dedication of our artisans are evident in every piece. In 2019, our first product, a hand-carved solid wood desk, made its debut at a local woodworking exhibition and was met with enthusiastic acclaim. It showcased not only the natural beauty of wood but also the harmonious coexistence of humanity and nature.

Over time, muki has evolved into a well-respected brand. We continually introduce new designs, from furniture to decor, each piece reflecting our reverence for nature. In 2024, we launched our online store in the US, bringing the warmth of muki to a wider audience. Today, muki is more than just a brand; it represents a lifestyle that embraces purity and respects nature.
